American Metalcraft's 2016 Catalog Extends Their Already Creative, Yet Practical Tabletop Selection1/5/2016
American Metalcraft has just released its 2016 catalog and, once again, this Chicago-area company proves its worth as a great "go-to" source for creative tabletop. With nearly 300 pages filled with ideas to improve profitability and the guest experience, this edition of the American Metalcraft catalog has more than 100 new items. Take their new Melamine Naturals collection of serving boards, for instance. At first glance, all of these boards look like beautiful wood serving pieces. But upon closer examination, these are not wood but durable, washable, stain and oil-resistant melamine! With boards serving boards ranging from RUSTIC (shown above) to WALNUT, BAMBOO, ELM, and ACACIA grain.... American Metalcraft has you covered for charcuterie, bread service...even desserts! And...for just one more bite of practicality ..... their RUSTIC WOOD and ACACIA Serving Boards feature round feet that lift platters 1/4” off table for convenient serving and clearing! American Metalcraft has even introduced new Menu and Check Presenters (above) Available in eight styles, these menu holders are versatile enough for full service, bar service, and check presentations.
Expanding their line of versatile steak knives, American Metalcraft has introduced a couple of very sexy, Stainless Steel Steak Knives (insert) with serrated blades featuring graceful curves in mirror or satin finishes. So, if you are looking to upgrade your tabletop while staying within budget, American Metalcraft is an ideal place to start. American Metalcraft was incorporated in 1947 by Archer Kahn. In 1961, Herbert Kahn succeeded his father as President, and in 1995 David Kahn and Susan Kahn Bank took over the business, marking the transition to a third generation of family leadership. In over 57 years of family ownership, the company has expanded from 6,000 square foot in Chicago to over 120,000 square foot in west suburban Melrose Park, Illinois, and from a handful of employees to almost 100.
American Metalcraft began with a limited product line and a local customer base to a company with customers in all 50 states and over 75 countries around the world. The company has evolved from job shop to a company that manufactures over 2000 items in house for its own product line. American Metalcraft Continues to Bring Unique & Innovative Products to Restaurant Tabletops5/16/2014
The second recommendation to tabletop exhibitors would be to take advantage of free display areas. Most trade shows offer an area to showcase new or innovative products. And while these display areas often include a variety of products from all categories, why not have your products displayed there to represent the tabletop category? Put together a small display and a great storyline and get your products in one more location in the show. Remember, it is all about branding and creating impressions and to have your products included in an area called "NEW" or "INNOVATIVE" creates a positive impression on your brand. And..often, these additional exhibits come at no cost to exhibitors. At the same show, Libbey (shown above) and Steelite had great displays in the New Product Gallery that the show had set up. In addition, in a separate New Product Gallery listing in the show directory, companies like American Metalcraft, Bamboo Studio, Hollowick, all had nice additional listings Trade shows are expensive to participate in as an exhibitor. TabletopJournal has written on this subject multiple times offering tips on improving your chances for success and we still maintain that - despite the investment required - trade shows still offer the best opportunity to present your brand message and to meet both existing and potential customers.
Make sure that as you develop your trade show plan, you include activities like we have listed above ...media kits...new product showcase opportunities....and more, so that you help maximize your company's return on the investment you're making. See you at the show! And, remember....tabletop matters! |
